In a press release from Amazon MGM Studios, author and series creator Jenny Han shared why she felt a film was the perfect way to continue the story.
“There is another big milestone left in Belly’s journey, and I thought only a movie could give it its proper due. I’m so grateful to Prime Video for continuing to support my vision for this story and for making it possible to share this final chapter with the fans,” Han said.

The beloved TV series, adapted from Han’s best-selling trilogy, has become a cultural phenomenon on social media and beyond.
According to the press release, Season 3 alone drew in 25 million viewers globally in its first seven days, making it the fifth most-watched returning season on Prime Video.
Today, September 17, marked the official end of the TV series that’s had fans in a chokehold. You can’t even scroll TikTok without seeing endless debates over Team Conrad vs. Team Jeremiah.
