Taylor Swift is finally weighing in on one of TV’s biggest love triangles.
For years, Swift’s music has been woven into The Summer I Turned Pretty, perfectly underscoring the emotional highs and lows of Belly’s story. Now, the 35-year-old superstar is revealing whether she sides with Conrad or Jeremiah in the hit Prime Video series.
“I’m Team Summer I Turned Pretty,” she told Ryan Seacrest during an interview with KIISFM. “Because this show has this show when I tell you that this show has completely like used my music in the most thoughtful, beautiful ways and with these important moments in Belly’s life. I’m just, I’m here for whatever is next. I’m like. I support your choices, girl. I feel like my music comes from inside her mind, so I’m like, I’m really with her no matter what she goes with. I know that sounds — but I promise that I thought about this.”
The Prime Video series, based on Jenny Han’s best-selling novels, follows Belly (Lola Tung), a teenager caught between brothers Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) during a summer that changes everything. Swift’s songs have been an essential part of the show’s DNA since Season 1, soundtracking Belly’s most defining moments.

Creator Jenny Han has made no secret of how intentional the music choices are. While appearing on TODAY in September 2025, she praised Swift’s artistry and explained why her songs are such a natural fit for Belly’s coming-of-age story.
“I’ll just say that Taylor is an amazing storyteller and her music is so evocative and emotional and the way that we could have it peek into Belly’s inner thoughts with her music,” Han told Savannah Guthrie and Craig Melvin.
Throughout the series, Swift’s hits — including “Lover,” which plays during a key early moment — have amplified the love triangle at the center of the story. The show has even featured a re-recording of “Delicate,” cementing Swift’s role as the unofficial narrator of Belly’s emotional journey.
Swift’s comments come as she promotes her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl. She described the project as a sharp departure from her previous work, The Tortured Poets Department.
“The whole last album was focused strictly on poetry, strictly on poetry, and it was in the title,” she explained. “This one is focusing strictly on vibes and show and showmanship excitement. Mischief. And just a spectacle — a pop spectacle and trying to do both of those things back-to-back to the best of my ability. That’s because I take my job very seriously as a person whose career path is entertaining people.”
