Rebel Wilson announced a partnership with the subscription-based wellness platform Noom on Thursday. The 45-year-old revealed that she has been named as the brand’s new “chief wellness ambassador.”
The company said that it chose Wilson having been inspired by her own weight loss journey. After she lost 80 pounds back in 2020 and kept the weight off for five years, the actress noted that her own experience “aligned closely with Noom’s holistic approach to lasting health and wellness.”
In conjunction with naming Wilson to the role, Noom is also rolling out a new free tier of its weight loss app, which will feature daily microhabits and access to microdose GLP-1s.
“I’m a big fan of Noom’s philosophy that small steps can lead to big change,” Wilson said in a press release. “In my ‘Year of Health,’ I learned that small steps—the microhabits, the tiny tweaks—really added up to big results. I wasn’t perfect—but I kept at it, and that’s what worked. Noom’s Microdose GLP-1 Program follows the same idea: small doses that deliver big results. The new free tier of the Noom app makes getting started on a health journey easier than ever.”

Wilson also spoke with Today on Thursday, explaining that she first became familiar with Noom when she was getting ready for her wedding to her now-wife Ramona Agruma, whom she tied the knot with in Italy in last year. She said that the platform helped her look and feel great on her big day.
To help her maintain her weight, the Pitch Perfect star also revealed that her doctor recommended GLP-1 medications, which she takes sometimes when she’s too busy to focus on her diet.
“I had a very good response to it because it meant I could maintain my weight or roughly thereabouts. Obviously, everybody kind of fluctuates a little bit,” she said. “I’m really using the GLP-1s as a tool. So, I know these months are going to be a bit brutal schedule-wise and with all other responsibilities, so I’m going to use them, so I don’t all of a sudden gain 10 to 15 pounds in a month.”

Another trick up Wilson’s sleeve is her “go-to” meal, which consists of beef tacos. Since it can be difficult getting in enough protein while on weight loss medications, she says it has just the right amount of vegetables and protein.
“There’s not that many carbs in it. There’s beef and that has a lot of iron in it,” she added. “For some reason I love cooking tacos.”
