Kim Kardashian, Jessica Simpson Star in Teaser for Ryan Murphy’s ‘All’s Fair’: What We Know About It

Ryan Murphy already seems to have outdone himself with All’s Fair, his upcoming Hulu legal drama that promises to be his soapiest project to date. Another teaser for the upcoming series dropped on Monday, which features Kim Kardashian leading a glitzy, star-studded, A-list cast.

“You know what a girl’s best friend is?” Judith Light voiceovers in the brief clip. “Not diamonds. Her lawyers.” It then pivots to eight-time Academy Award-nominated actress Glenn Close, who adds, “He hurt you. Get mad. Get revenge.” Returning to acting for the first time since 2008’s Private Valentine: Blonde & Dangerous, Jessica Simpson can be briefly seen angrily throwing a drink on someone off-camera.

At the end of the clip, Murphy’s longtime muse Sarah Paulson is seen sitting in a conference room, setting a cup of coffee down on the table. “That’s bitter. Just like all the women who own this joint,” she deadpans.

What is All’s Fair about?

According to the series official synopsis, All’s Fair centers on a team of female divorce attorneys who leave their male-dominated firm to open their own powerhouse practice.

“Fierce, brilliant, and emotionally complicated, they navigate high-stakes breakups, scandalous secrets, and shifting allegiances—both in the courtroom and within their own ranks,” the synopsis reads. “In a world where money talks and love is a battleground, these women don’t just play the game—they change it.”

Who is starring in All’s Fair?

In addition to Kardashian, Close, Paulson, Simpson, and Light, the series boasts an absolutely jam-packed cast. Rounding out the main cast are Academy Award-nominated Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash, and Teyana Taylor. Meanwhile, the recurring cast includes Elizabeth Berkley, O-T Fagbenle (The Handmaid’s Tale), Grace Gummer, Ed O’Neill, Steven Pasquale (Rescue Me), Brooke Shields, Tamara Taylor, and Lorraine Toussaint.

How did Kim Kardashian get involved?

The reality TV mogul’s involvement in All’s Fair was first revealed on her Hulu reality series The Kardashians back in June 2024. Per Today, Kardashian meets with Murphy in the season 5 episode, who pitches her the series.

Previously, the two worked together on the 12th season of FX’s anthology series American Horror Story: Delicate. Given that Kardashian is also an aspiring lawyer, Murphy seemed to think the role was perfect for her.

“It’s a really good idea. So, Kim is the world’s best, most expensive divorce lawyer and she has her own firm,” Murphy explained at the time. “And the thing about her firm is that it’s an all-female firm.” He compared the series to Sex in the City as it portrays “a bond of women trying to get through an experience together.”

Kardashian noted that the series would be very “on brand” for her and Murphy agreed, joking that her catchphrase could be, “Not only am I a lawyer, but I play one on TV.”

“I know I don’t need to add another thing to my schedule or another TV show, but it’s so different than what I do and it’s such a challenge for me,” Kardashian said in a confessional interview. “I love the challenge, so I just want to see this out.”

Six months later in December 2023 it was officially reported that the series was a go, starring Kardashian.

When does All’s Fair premiere?

An exact premiere date has still not been released, but All’s Fair is expected to premiere on Hulu in November 2025.
