Kelly Rizzo Shares ‘Sign’ She Received From Bob Saget Just Months After His Passing

Late actor Bob Saget‘s wife Kelly Rizzo has taken to Instagram to share a personal story about her and her family’s connection to Saget in the months following his passing.

“People ask me all the time if I’ve ever gotten a sign from Bob, and that answer is ‘yes, a big one.’ And I’m not a ‘sign’ person. This one’s undeniable,” Rizzo shared in an Instagram video.

A few months after Saget’s passing, Rizzo experienced an ocular migraine for the first time, which caused her vision to go spotty. Unaware of what she was experiencing at the time, Rizzo naturally became very frightened by her loss of vision.

“I’m terrified that I’m dying, so I literally start praying to God and praying to Bob’s picture, ‘please let me be okay, I’m so scared, I don’t know what’s happening to me,’” Rizzo continued in the video.

The next morning, Rizzo called her sister Kimmy Rizzo-Tota to inform her of what she had been experiencing.

Much to Rizzo’s surprise, her sister informed her that her daughter Alexandra, who was only 2 years old at the time, had already come to her earlier that morning saying, “Mommy, Auntie Kelly’s sick. Auntie Kelly’s scared.”

When asked what she meant, Alexandra informed her mother simply, “Uncle Bob told me.” This revelation gave Rizzo and her sister chills. Rizzo noted that despite Alexandra only being 2, she and Saget had a close bond.

Rizzo’s followers left an outpouring of love, support and similar stories of their own in the comments. “Love this story and the true fact that our loved ones are everywhere,” one commenter said.

In the 3 and a half years since Saget’s death, Rizzo has been outspoken about both her grief and the ways she takes Saget’s lessons and memories with her in her everyday life.

If you can’t find a way to have a good laugh… then you’re doing it wrong. It’s one of the biggest life lessons I learned from Bob (and he taught me SO much) – it’s that no matter what you’ve gone through… humor will help,” Rizzo shared in a recent Instagram caption.

As her “sign” story shows, Rizzo also emphasizes the importance of family in helping her get through her grief following Saget’s passing.

“Truly, the only reason I’m functioning at all is because of my sisters. I can’t imagine having gotten through the last 3 1/2 years without them let alone the last 40+ years. If you see me smiling and happy and somewhat acting like a human being, it’s because behind the scenes, my sisters are giving me hours of therapy/coaching/talking/listening to my neurosis every single day…” Rizzo shared in an Instagram caption earlier this year.
