Jon Bon Jovi couldn’t be more thrilled about his new role as grandpa!
After Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi revealed in August that they had adopted a baby girl, the rocker is finally speaking out about the newest member of his family — and he’s completely smitten.
On September 21, 2025, the 63-year-old music legend appeared in a TikTok teasing his upcoming sit-down on Bunnie Xo’s “Dumb Blonde” podcast, where he gushed about his son’s young marriage to the Stranger Things star and his first grandchild.
“She’s a sweetheart and she’s a hard worker,” Bon Jovi said of his daughter-in-law. “[Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi] got married really young, but we blessed it because we get it. They are mature beyond their years.”

The “Livin’ on a Prayer” singer also admitted that becoming a grandfather has been an emotional, life-changing experience. “Crazy, but great, wonderful,” he shared of the transition. “They adopted a girl, and we met the baby obviously, and immediately that becomes your grandchild, your baby.”
And he’s not shy about how much he dotes on his granddaughter. “I want to see pictures like every other day. I’m that pain in the butt guy already. It’s cool,” he confessed.
Millie, 21, and Jake, 22, first shared their adoption news on August 21, 2025, just one month before celebrating their one-year wedding anniversary. “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy,” the pair wrote in a joint statement at the time.

Although the couple has given fans small glimpses of their family life, they’ve mostly kept things private. But Millie has long been vocal about her desire to start a family. “Jake knows how important it is to me [to have children],” she said during a March appearance on the “SmartLess” podcast. “Of course, I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer, but I also find it’s so important to start a family for me, personally. It’s a huge thing.”
The actress explained that Jake wanted to wait until after marriage to begin that journey. “Jake was like, ‘We cannot do that until we get married.’ So that was his thing, and my thing was, I really want a family. I really want a big family. I’m one of four. He’s one of four. So it is definitely in our future.”
