Brittany Cartwright is opening up about her budding romance with Brandon Hanson—and she’s keeping things chill for now.
The Valley star, 36, told TMZ on September 9 that while the connection is strong, she and Hanson haven’t slapped a label on their relationship yet.
“We’re not technically boyfriend and girlfriend just yet,” Cartwright said.
The duo actually go way back. “We’ve known each other for, like, 15 years. I met him back in Kentucky a long time ago,” she shared.
Cartwright gushed about Hanson, calling him “a great person, great father, just all around a good person,” adding, “He’s making me happy. We’re just focused on having fun and doing our thing right now.”
As for introducing Hanson to her son, Cruz, 4, she’s taking it slow. “Just seeing how it goes, taking the time,” Brittany said. “But he’s a great person. I really like him.”
Brittany is in the midst of divorcing estranged husband Jax Taylor, with whom she shares Cruz. Their ups and downs—including their eventual split—were captured on The Valley Season 2.
Who Is The Valley’s Brittany Cartwright Dating? Updates Amid Divorce
An insider told Us Weekly in August that Brittany and Brandon bonded over shared experiences. “Brittany and Brandon have a lot in common and have bonded over their divorces,” the source said. “She is really happy, and it feels good to have a genuine connection with someone again.” At the time, Brandon had been separated from his estranged wife, Jasina Stanko, for seven months.
Even Brittany’s Valley costar Kristen Doute has given her seal of approval. “She has someone in her life that’s really amazing that I am head over heels for,” Doute told People in August. “She’s dated people during her single years since her ex-husband, and I have not approved of them. This person is very wonderful and very cool. [He has a] very family-feeling.”
Before Hanson, Brittany was linked to singer-songwriter Will Gittens. In May 2025, Page Six reported they were dating, though a separate source insisted they were “just friends.”
Brittany even dished about her dating life on Lala Kent’s “Give Them Lala” podcast in May, recalling a hilarious moment with a crush. “We were in the shower, butt naked, and it was like I slipped on a banana peel. Like, ‘Whoo!’ I went straight back, and he thought I was gonna hit my head. Oh, it was so embarrassing, but then the way that we laughed about it was so cute,” she shared.
