A gunman disguised as a delivery driver set out on a targeted spree that resulted in him shooting an 8-year-old girl and her dad.
Jazz Reid is currently on trial on attempted murder charges after he allegedly shot the father and daughter in London during the November 2024 incident, according to BBC. He has pleaded not guilty.
Authorities said that the young girl and her 34-year-old father, who have not been publicly named, were sitting in a car when Reid, 33, allegedly fired 11 shots in their direction, according to the outlet. The father was struck five times, while the daughter was hit twice. Both the father and daughter survived the shooting.
During the trial, Prosecutor Michael Goodwin KC argued on Monday, September 29, that the incident was one of three “targeted” shootings that Reid allegedly “planned and executed with precision,” according to BBC.

“Eleven shots were fired, five hit [the father] in the back, chest, abdomen and pelvis area. Two shots hit his daughter in her buttocks and foot,” Goodwin told the jurors, per The Independent. “Both [victims] and other family members were sat in a car used regularly by the family. They had nowhere to escape to when the defendant opened fire on them.”
Another one of his “planned” attacks took place two weeks earlier at an address connected to the father. However, nobody was injured in the situation.
Reid’s first alleged attack took place on October 9, 2024, when authorities said he allegedly shot and wounded a man who was inside of his Notting Hill home, according to the outlet.
While in court, Goodwin claimed Reid attempted to conceal his identity by dressing as a delivery driver for British online food delivery company Deliveroo. He allegedly traveled on an e-bike during all three shootings, per BBC, further alluding that he was a delivery person.
Amid the investigation, authorities said they found a 9mm self-loading pistol under a concrete slab outside of Reid’s home. Investigators linked Reid to DNA found on the pistol, which he is believed to have used in the most recent shooting.

“Forensic evidence found at the three scenes indicate one firearm was used to discharge the ammunition at the first two shootings and the second firearm had been used for the third shooting,” Goodwin said, per The Independent. “So the prosecution case is, this defendant had access to two separate firearms used to carry out all three shootings. The three shootings are forensically linked.”
The trial is still ongoing as of time of publication.
