Everything Paul Mescal and Gracie Abrams Have Publically Shared About Their Relationship

Paul Mescal and Gracie Abrams were first spotted together last summer, and while it has been confirmed that they are in a relationship, the couple has kept things pretty quiet over the past 15 months.

The pair were first caught on camera by TMZ out for a dinner date in London in June of 2024. They then spent more time together throughout the summer, and were spotted kissing and holding hands before a source revealed in an August People exclusive that “they’ve been hooking up and it’s still early stages.”

Then in November of 2024, they made their first official public appearance together when Abrams attended the Los Angeles premiere of Mescal’s movie Gladiator II and the after party as his guest.

Around that same time, Mescal spoke generally about his perspective on relationships in his November cover story for GQ, saying, “I mean, the speculation has been kind of mad for the last x amount of years. I’m not comfortable inviting any access into that part of my life. How I am in my private life is so precious to me because I get very little of it, and it might be public interest, but it’s not public-obligated information.”

Shortly after that, in a December 2024 cover story interview with NYLON, Abrams was asked about what it’s like to navigate her relationship with Mescal while being in the public eye, and she responded simply, “That has nothing to do with me. It doesn’t affect me.”

Fast forward to June of 2025, and the couple finally went Instagram-official via a carousel of photos from the Glastonbury Festival on Abrams’ account. Still, she kept things brief, simply making the caption several heart emojis.

Now, in a September Rolling Stone profile, Mescal has made new comments that reinforce the couple’s private nature.

When asked about what made him go public with his relationship with Abrams, Mescal said that he didn’t “know how to answer,” and then clarified, “I actually do have an answer, but everything to do with that is deeply precious to me and I don’t want to. … This isn’t … I don’t really … umm … I want to protect those things fundamentally.”
