Demi Lovato‘s latest music video contains more than just elaborate dance choreography–it also contains playful references to characters she played back in her days as a Disney Channel star.
Lovato dropped the music video for her latest single “Here All Night” on September 12, taking fans another step closer to the release of her new album.
The music video opens on Lovato waking up and unlocking her phone, where she then looks at a group chat between herself and two other people with the contact names “Mitchie Babe” and “Sonny Bunny.”
These names make reference to two of Lovato’s most popular Disney Channel characters, Mitchie Torres from the movie Camp Rock and Sonny Munroe from the television show Sonny with a Chance.

This is not Lovato’s only time referencing earlier moments in her career in a recent music video. In the video for her previous single “Fast,” released on August 1, Lovato can be seen passing by a set of televisions showing clips from older videos of her, including a clip of her from Camp Rock.
These days, Lovato seems to be at peace with her past and open to fondly reminiscing about her time at Disney.
In a new episode of the podcast “Just Trish” released on September 11, Lovato discussed looking back at her past eras with co-hosts Trisha Paytas and Oscar Gracey.
“Are you able to, like, look back fondly now at those, like, earlier years like the Disney years especially? Cause I know, like, in the moment they were so, obviously, bitter-sweet and, like, turbulent. But, like, now are you able to look back kind of fondly?” Gracey asked Lovato.
