The deceased body found in singer D4vd’s impounded Tesla has been identified as a 15-year-old girl named Celeste Rivas, law enforcement confirmed.
Rivas was identified through forensics, according to NBC Los Angeles. The outlet also noted that the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office has not yet determined her cause of death.
It is not currently clear if D4vd, 20, had a connection to Rivas or how she ended up in the car.
Her body was found inside a bag in the 2023 Tesla on September 8 at Hollywood Tow in Los Angeles after police were called to the scene following reports of a foul odor coming from the Tesla, per NBC Los Angeles.

The vehicle, which was registered to D4vd, was impounded after a person reported that it had been abandoned for several days.
According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office, Rivas was wearing a tube top, black leggings, a yellow metal chain bracelet and stud earrings when her remains were discovered. Additionally, she was said to have wavy black hair and weighed about 71 pounds.
Law enforcement sources previously revealed to NBC News that the remains were not intact, while it appeared Rivas had been dead inside the car for several days before her body was discovered.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for D4vd – whose real name is David Anthony Burke – told NBC News on September 10 that he “has been informed about what’s happened, and although he is still out on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities.” Life & Style previously reached out to D4vd’s team for comment.

D4vd is best known for his songs “Here with Me” and “Romantic Homicide,” which became hits on TikTok in 2022. Following his success on social media, he signed with Darkroom and Interscope Records. D4vd went on to release two extended plays, Petals to Thorns and The Lost Petals, in 2023, followed by his debut album, Withered, on April 25.
Just hours after it was revealed that the car was registered to him, D4vd was dropped as a brand ambassador for Crocs and Hollister.
“We are aware of this developing story. With respect to the current situation, we have removed campaign content featuring D4vd while the investigation continues,” the brands said in a joint statement, according to WWD.
