Brooke Hogan isn’t shocked that she was left out of her father Hulk Hogan’s will, calling the decision “no surprise to me.”
The former WWE star passed away in July at age 71, leaving behind nearly $5 million in his estate, with his son Nick Hogan named the sole beneficiary. Brooke, 37, spoke to TMZ on Thursday, September 11, about being excluded.
“His decision is no surprise to me,” Brooke said. “It’s what I asked for, I stand by it with no regrets. My dad knows I’m a hard worker and I have been surviving without his money for a long, long time.”
Brooke, who began her public career as a pop singer, gained fame on the family reality series Hogan Knows Best, which later led to her own spinoff, Brooke Knows Best. She also made appearances at wrestling events alongside her father during his WWE career.
Over the past decade, Brooke and Hulk grew estranged amid controversies surrounding the wrestling legend, including a speech he gave supporting President Donald Trump at the 2024 Republican National Convention. Despite their complicated relationship, Brooke has forged her own path outside the wrestling world.
Since launching her interior design firm in 2018, Brooke has focused on family and personal milestones. She married retired NHL player Steven Oleksy in 2022, and the couple welcomed twins in January 2025.

Brooke’s comments come amid ongoing family matters following Hulk’s passing. Just days ago, Nick, 35, filed a restraining order against radio host Bubba the Love Sponge Clem regarding the use of Hulk’s infamous sex tape in Clem’s new documentary Video Killed The Radio Star.
Court documents obtained by People show that Nick and Terry McCoy, the late wrestler’s personal friend and curator of his estate, filed the temporary restraining order in Pinellas County, Florida, on September 2. The order was granted on September 4, requiring that eight seconds of footage from the sex tape be edited out of the film. Centro Asturiano management was assured that the producers assumed full liability, per the Tampa Bay Times.
The tape, which features Hulk engaging in sexual acts with Heather Cole, Clem’s now ex-wife, was originally captured by home security footage. In 2012, Hulk reached a settlement with Clem in which the radio host surrendered rights to the tape, and Hulk registered it with the U.S. Copyright Office to prevent further distribution.
Through all of it, Brooke maintains a grounded perspective on her inheritance and family dynamics. “I’ve been surviving without his money for a long, long time,” she said. Her focus now is on her thriving career, growing family, and moving forward on her own terms.
