Blake Lively just proved once again that she’s as creative in the kitchen as she is on the big screen.
On October 2, the actress shared photos of a bunny-shaped cake she made, revealing the sweet inspiration behind the dessert.
“I saw a beautiful quote along with a well-loved child stuffy that said, ‘to be loved, is to be changed forever,’” Lively wrote on Instagram. “This bunny has been so loved, so purely for so long. She is a family member. So of course, I had to turn her into cake. (As you see the backup bunny, which is what the original used to look like, was the inspo. Made by a small female-led business in Vancouver called @birdonelephant).”
But Lively didn’t stop at just making the cake look adorable—she made sure it tasted extra special for her daughter, too. Drawing inspiration from her daughter’s favorite treat, Cinnabon buns, she swapped her initial vanilla cake idea for something richer.

“I made a cream cheese pound cake (because I wanted the moisture but also the crunchy toasty outside) as two layers of sheet cake but added cinnamon to the batter,” said the 38-year-old.
“Then I made a cinnamon butter sugar filling like you would for cinnamon buns and used it as icing between the layers of cake along with a homemade cream cheese icing.
Finally, I topped it all off with lots of cream cheese icing. New. Favorite. Cake.
So. SO. Good.”

Fans have flooded the actress’s post with praise for her new creation. One fan said, “I cannot even!!!!!!!!!! That bunny has traveled the world!! The best birthday cake ever!!!!!!!!!

While the It Ends with Us star didn’t reveal which of her daughters the cake was for, the mom of four shares three daughters — James, Inez, and Betty — along with her youngest, a son named Olin, with husband Ryan Reynolds.
