Even Alix Earle has her breaking points — and Dancing With the Stars is definitely testing them.
The 24-year-old influencer got emotional this week while preparing for her next routine, sharing a tearful behind-the-scenes look at rehearsals on October 24. In the social media clip, Alix appeared visibly upset as she used viral audio from The Kardashians, featuring Kim Kardashian saying, “There’s days where I feel like I know it all and I wake up the next morning and I’m like wait, none of that makes sense.”
Her caption? “Reality of the first two days of me learning a new dance HAHAH.”
Fans immediately flooded the comments with support and praising her honesty. After all, this season of DWTS has been one of the most competitive yet — and Alix has been holding her own alongside her partner, professional dancer Val Chmerkovskiy.

Just two days before posting the emotional video, the duo wowed judges and viewers during “Wicked Night,” performing a jazz routine to “What Is This Feeling?” by Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo. The performance scored them an impressive 35 out of 40 — but it also sparked online chatter that the song might have been a subtle nod to rumored tension between Alix and Val.
“You know, online, people say a bunch of stuff, but I can say, behind the scenes, it’s all love,” Alix told Us Weekly after the show. “I feel like there’s a lot of fans online this season, which I know is newer and just it keeps growing as the show grows. But I’m so happy we got the song we did, and it was really fun for us to kind of tap into that.”
Val, 39, agreed, adding that “there are bangers throughout” the Wicked soundtrack, meaning there were no bad song choices.
The pair’s chemistry has been a frequent topic of online debate since the season began in September. But Alix previously shut down the drama, assuring fans in a “Get Ready With Me” video that they actually get along great.

“It’s so funny, because I feel like we’re becoming besties,” she said at the time. “I think we both just have sarcastic personalities and maybe we need to chill that out, because it does make us look like we hate each other.”
Now, the duo’s friendship — and Alix’s confidence — seem stronger than ever. Their scores have improved each week, and the social media star says she’s learning to take the judges’ critiques in stride.
“After doing a dance, it’s such an adrenaline rush. I black out every time,” she joked to Us. “I’m like, ‘I don’t even remember until I watched the dance back what I did.’ But [the] judges’ comments are so great and so nice, and it’s just encouraging to keep pushing myself and keep pushing us in this dance journey.”
