‘Victorious’ Trina Vega Spinoff ‘Hollywood Arts’ Starring Daniella Monet Moves To Netflix

Get ready, Victorious fans: Trina Vega is back! Daniella Monet is reprising her iconic role in the highly anticipated spinoff Hollywood Arts, and the series is heading to a new streaming home. Originally developed at Nickelodeon, the multi-camera sitcom has now been licensed to Netflix, which has ordered a full 26 episodes for its global platform.

Hollywood Arts is set to premiere on Netflix in 2026, with a second-window release expected on Nickelodeon and Paramount+ shortly after. Sources say the move to Netflix came following the August completion of the Skydance-Paramount merger, which also saw longtime Nickelodeon chief Brian Robbins exit, along with several other top executives.

Fans will be interested to know that Victorious creator Dan Schneider, who parted ways with Nickelodeon in 2018, is not involved in the spinoff. Instead, the show is being led by veteran writers and showrunners Jake Farrow — a Victorious and Sam & Cat alum who also voiced Robbie’s puppet Rex Powers — and Samantha Martin (Henry Danger, The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder).

Casting for Hollywood Arts began early this year. Alongside Monet, who also serves as an executive producer, the series features Alyssa MilesEmmy Liu-Wang, Peyton Jackson, Erika Swayze and Martin Kamm. Yvette Nicole Brown is also set to guest star.

While it remains unclear whether other original cast members will appear — notably Victoria Justice or Ariana Grande — it seems likely that Justice could reprise her role as Tori Vega, Trina’s younger sister, for at least a guest appearance.

The premise of Hollywood Arts follows Trina Vega as a struggling actress who returns to her former high school, Hollywood Arts, as an unqualified substitute teacher. As she navigates teaching, Trina finds herself clashing with — and unexpectedly inspiring — a new generation of ambitious students at Hollywood’s elite performing arts school.

The show held its first table read on October 14 in Vancouver, Canada, with production now officially underway. Originally a Nickelodeon project, Hollywood Arts will now be produced by Paramount Television Studios, which encompasses the slates of Skydance Television, Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios, Awesomeness, and Nickelodeon’s live-action series following the post-merger revival.
