Jennifer Lawrence is a boots-on-the-ground journalist.
While appearing on the The Graham Norton Show in October 2025, the host asked Jennifer whether she and Die, My Love costar Robert Pattinson bonded over both experiencing massive fame at a young age—Jennifer for Hunger Games and Robert for Twilight— instead, she revealed a vital moment in pop culture history.
“Not really,” she began, before recalling an iconic media moment. “If you think I didn’t ask him about Donald Trump tweeting about the breakup with Kristen [Stewart], obviously [I did].”
Her fellow guests looked a bit confused at first, so Jennifer explained: “It was like three days after the photos came out, with you know, whatever. Young people make mistakes. And Donald Trump was like, ‘He better leave her! He can do so much better!’ Like, going on a huge rant.”

For context, in 2012, Kristen Stewart publicly admitted to being unfaithful to Pattinson with her Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders. She issued a heartfelt apology to Pattinson for the “momentary indiscretion,” and the couple later worked through the situation privately.
At the time, Donald Trump tweeted his opinions on the breakup, saying, “Robert Pattinson should not take back Kristen Stewart,” and adding, “[Stewart] cheated on him like a dog and will do it again — just watch. He can do much better!”
Fans were simultaneously shocked and delighted that she had the audacity to ask the question—and even more so that she admitted it on live TV. The Graham Norton clip quickly went viral on TikTok, with viewers reacting in awe and amusement. Comments included: “She’s just a boots-on-the-ground journalist
,” “She is always asking celebrities the questions we want to know,” and “Jennifer Lawrence is a fangirl in the body of a famous actress.”
