A shooting took place outside of a residential hall at Oklahoma State University, leaving at least three people injured.
The Oklahoma State University Police Department confirmed that one of the injured victims is a student at the school located in Stillwater, Oklahoma, according to ABC News. However, none of the victims have been publicly named and no one has been arrested in connection to the shooting.
The shooting was reported around 3:40 a.m. on Sunday, October 19, outside of the Carreker East residential hall, according to OSU police.
“Initial reports indicate a large, private party occurred at an off-campus location. After the gathering disbanded, some attendees returned to Carreker East, where the shooting occurred,” police said in a statement, per ABC News.
Following the shooting, all of the victims were taken to hospitals in Oklahoma City and Tulsa for treatment.

Authorities added that there is no ongoing threat to the campus in the aftermath of the shooting. Additionally, authorities have asked that anyone with information about the shooting contact the OSU Police Department.
OSU Chief of Police Michael Beckner said campus police officers first learned of the shooting when they overheard a radio call from a Stillwater police dispatcher that regarded a gunshot victim at a McDonald’s, which is located several miles from the college.
The campus officers went to the McDonald’s and found the person suffering from gunshot wounds. As they provided the victim with medical aid, Beckner said campus police received calls about the shooting on campus.
Once officers arrived at the campus, they stopped several of the vehicles that were trying to leave the scene at gunpoint. Beckner also shared that no victims were at the scene when authorities arrived.
Officers eventually learned that a person shot at the school had been dropped off at the Stillwater Medical Center, while another victim had gone to the Tulsa Medical Center.

Beckner confirmed that all three victims of the shooting were in stable condition as of the afternoon of October 19.
Officers interviewed several potential witnesses and learned that the shooting took place in the parking lot outside the Carreker East residential hall. Witnesses told officers that the shooting occurred after a dispute that erupted earlier at a party at the Payne County Expo Center in Stillwater. Meanwhile, the conflict eventually came to a head at an after-party on campus.
While Beckner did not reveal what the dispute was about, he said it was “a disagreement between several people.”
