Virginia Giuffre previously made headlines when she accused Prince Andrew of sexual assault, and she recently made even more shocking allegations against him in her posthumous memoir, Nobody’s Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice.
After the book’s release on October 21, 2025, Life & Style breaks down all of the claims Giuffre has made against Andrew.
Virginia Giuffre First Accused Prince Andrew of Sexual Assault in 2015
Back in 2015, Giuffre accused sexual offender Jeffrey Epstein of paying her to have sex with him, Andrew and some of Epstein’s other friends when she was 17 years old, according to USA Today. She also claimed that British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell lured her into Epstein’s circle.
Then in 2021, Giuffre filed a sex abuse lawsuit against Andrew. In the lawsuit, she claimed that she had been trafficked to Andrew by Epstein three times around 2001, according to USA Today. Andrew has vehemently denied the allegations, and he settled the suit in 2022.

Virginia Giuffre Further Detailed Her Allegations Against Prince Andrew in Her Memoir
In the memoir, Giuffre claimed she had sex with Andrew three times after she was trafficked by Epstein. She also alleged that one sexual encounter was part of an orgy that included about eight other girls.
“The other girls all seemed and appeared to be under the age of eighteen and didn’t really speak English,” Giuffre wrote in the book.
She then went on to detail her legal case against Andrew in the book, claiming he made it difficult for her legal team to serve him papers by “fleeing to Queen Elizabeth‘s Balmoral Castle in Scotland and hiding behind its well-guarded gates.” Andrew has since denied her allegations.
Meanwhile, she experienced a turning point in the case when Andrew did an interview on the BBC program Newsnight in 2019. At the time, he faced backlash for appearing unfazed in regards to the allegations. In the book, Giuffre said the interview “was like an injection of jet fuel” for her legal team.
“Its contents would not only help us build an ironclad case against the prince but also open the door to potentially subpoenaing his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, and their daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie,” she wrote.
Her settlement negotiations with Andrew began to move faster after he hired American lawyer Andrew Brettler, who previously worked with many clients in Hollywood amid the #MeToo movement.

Prince Andrew Stepped Down From His Royal Titles Before Virginia Giuffre’s Book Was Released
Andrew voluntarily gave up the use of his royal titles before the book was released on October 17, according to BBC. In light of the announcement, he said in a statement that he made the decision due to “continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family.”
The decision means that Andrew can no longer sign off as the Duke of York, or put “KG” – which stands for a Knight of the Garter – after his name, per the outlet. Additionally, the Earl of Inverness and Baron Killyleagh have been removed from his list of titles, as well as the name “Andrew Inverness.”
