Kylie Kelce is opening up about her rules for Halloween costumes when it comes to her kids.
During the latest episode of her podcast Not Gonna Lie, released on October 16, the 33-year-old shared the costume guidelines she follows with husband, Jason Kelce for their daughters—Wyatt, 6; Elliotte, 4; Bennett, 2; and Finnley, 6 months.
Kylie began by explaining her usual “three-week rule” for costume planning.
“If anyone has young kids, you know that picking a costume can get a little dicey. We are currently in the situation of buzzer beater,” she said.
“Typically, I like to have a three-week rule for the girls to tell me what costume they want. In other words, I want a three-week buffer to order the costume and have it arrive in time.”

“But you know what three weeks means for a 6-year-old, a 4-year-old, and a 2-year-old? It’s f—— forever,” she continued. “It’s three weeks of having ordered the costume and then forever of trying to figure out how many other costumes they want to be before theirs even arrives.”
The podcast host also shared that she usually buys costumes, though she once got creative and made them herself.
“One year, they were a corn on the cob and a pea pod. It was a nod to the fact that my sister and I wore that exact costume when we were little, and it was adorable,” Kylie said.
“It was made of felt and was definitely a one-and-done. I’m pretty sure I had to stitch it onto Wyatt. Maybe I’ll do it next year… no, I shouldn’t. I didn’t enjoy myself, but they looked so cute.”
“I do think a homemade costume builds character,” she added. “Because there’s always gonna be this moment of, ‘What is it?’ Oh, it’s a corn on the cob.”
During the honest podcast, Kelce also shared what her husband Jason is against when it comes to costumes.
“The girls, they love lipstick, otherwise known as ‘lipic,’” she revealed. “Do we let them wear lipic? No. They’re not allowed because Dad is vehemently against lipic.”

Kylie then admitted she’s on the same page as Jason. “To be fair, I don’t really want them wearing lipic either,” Kylie said.
“But Bennett’s fascination with lipic makes it so that anything in the house that is remotely lipic shaped, paint sticks — nontoxic, chill out — glue sticks — also nontoxic, chill out — end up slowly migrating towards her lips to be put on as lipic.”
