Aubrey Plaza stopped by The Drew Barrymore Show on October 10 and opened up about her love for Delaware, where the actress was born.
Drew Barrymore remarked, “I didn’t realize how hardcore you are about Delaware.”
“Yup,” Plaza replied. “Delaware is number one. First state in the union.”
Barrymore added, “And the love is returned — apparently, year after year, they claim you are the most famous person from Delaware, their numero uno Delawarian.”
Plaza, clearly enjoying the title, joked, “I will reign as queen of Delaware forever. Unfortunately for Joe Biden, he has lost every time.”

Barrymore then asked, “Do you know who else you might have beaten?” “It’s Val,” Plaza answered quickly.
Fellow Wilmington native and actress Valerie Bertinelli then walked into the set, surprising a shocked-looking Plaza with a yellow ‘Most Famous Delawarean’ sash and a box of Grotto Pizza.
Grotto Pizza is a legendary pizza shop in Delaware that Plaza has been known to rave about.
“This is like a Delaware fever dream,” the 41-year-old actress said, who is currently starring in Ethan Coen’s off-Broadway play Let’s Love.

While former president Biden didn’t appear on the show, Plaza continued making jabs at him saying, “He even lost to me when he was the sitting vice president. I beat him every year. I’m sure that’s all he thinks about at night.”
