The Pretty Reckless has been teasing something new online, and it is coming just in time for the holiday season.
After dropping their first new song in four years, For I Am Death, on August 22, and contributing to the upcoming tribute album Can’t Get Enough: A Tribute to Bad Company, set for October 24, fans have every reason to expect additional tracks—or even a special holiday release—on the horizon.
On Monday, October 6, the band shared the first of three cryptic teasers, featuring a bright red TV displaying the title of their brand-new song, For I Am Death.
The second teaser, released on October 7, showed the same red TV sitting atop a present wrapped in a red bow, accompanied by their hit song Make Me Wanna Die and the caption, “There’s no time like the present.”
The Pretty Reckless formed in 2009 and consists of Taylor Momsen, Ben Phillips, Mark Damon, and Jamie Perkins. For those unfamiliar with lead singer Momsen, she has been acting in films, commercials, and TV series since she was a child.

Her breakout role—the one she is best known for—is her character in Gossip Girl.
The third and most exciting teaser, released today, October 8, shows the red TV surrounded by even more red and white gifts. The screen features clips highlighting Taylor Momsen’s acting career, including her role as Ginny in Gossip Girl and her Shake ‘n Bake commercial, accompanied by the caption: “My world is changing.”
These teasers have sent fans into a frenzy, with many speculating that Momsen may re-release her hit song “Where Are You Christmas?,” which she originally performed as Cindy Lou Who in the 2000 film How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
The caption, “My world is changing,” seems to reference the iconic song, with lyrics that read, “Where are you, Christmas? Why can’t I find you? Why have you gone away? Where is the laughter you used to bring me? Why can’t I hear music play? My world is changing, I’m rearranging. Does that mean Christmas changes too?”
Fans have flooded social media with their initial reactions to the teasers.
One wrote, “Where Are You Christmas (Pretty Reckless Version)???” Another speculated, “I am trying to analyze every little thing. I have no clue what this could be—either an anniversary-type album or an Eras Tour of some sort. I’m so confused
.”
A third fan added, “Idk what’s happening but I’m hyped!!!!!! Xoxo”.
