While Stella, fortunately, survived the ordeal, the crossover started and ended with Stella and Severide discussing their urge to take a vacation together to Cabo. The couple wants to be away from Chicago to have time for themselves and take a break from their challenging work. When Stella is trapped in the train with Ruzek and numerous passengers, she is fearful but focused on the task and ensuring everyone makes it out alive. During the crossover, Severide exhibits the same feelings as Stella but is more vulnerable because he cannot communicate nor do much to help Stella since she's stuck in a tunnel. Thankfully, they each had support from their colleagues to resolve the crisis.

Kelly And Stella's Honeymoon Was Unexpectedly Ruined
The 2025 One Chicago crossover isn't the first time Stella and Severide have highlighted their need for a break together. After their wedding, which included all their fellow firefighters and a special appearance by Matt Casey, the pair were excited about their honeymoon. However, they were attacked the night of their wedding by drug dealers that Severide helped police bust in season 10. Stella nearly died at the hands of head drug dealer Dell, but Severide killed him, saving his wife.
The conclusion of the One Chicago crossover ended on an optimistic note for Severide and Stella, hinting that they will finally have a proper vacation in Cabo without interruptions from work. The TV promo for the next episode of Chicago Fire also hints at Stella and Severide's desire to get pregnant and start raising a family.
