Actress and filmmaker Madison De La Garza is remembering her stillborn daughter one year after her passing.

The child actress turned director and producer, best known for her role as Juanita Solis on Desperate Housewives, first shared that she and her boyfriend, Ryan Mitchell, were together in an Instagram post on June 13, 2024.

She then shared that they were expecting on September 5, 2024 in a post featuring images of herself, Mitchell, and their friends and family at what appeared to be their baby shower.

Unfortunately, just a few weeks later on September 27, 2024, De La Garza was brought to the hospital to have an emergency c-section surgery.

Thank you, Xiomara, for making us parents to the most perfect angel in heaven. Mommy and Daddy love you sweet girl.”

Seven month laster in April, De La Garza shared an Instagram story announcing she had gotten a tattoo of the letters “XO” on her palm in honor of the baby’s passing.
