All 14 couples entered the Dancing with the Stars ballroom once again for week two, but only 12 came out having secured their spots for week three. A night of daring moves, pushing through injuries, and double elimination certainly brought drama to the ballroom this week.
Continuing their success from last week, Robert Irwin and Witney Carson pulled off an impressively smooth tango to “Move Your Feet” that led them to once again tied for the top of the leaderboard this week. Their mid-routine addition of some early 2000’s-inspired robot moves brought a touch of fun flair.
Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas also continued their battle for the top spot with their fiery cha cha to “Play That Funky Music” that had Leavitt ending in an impressive split between Ballas’ legs.
Also part of the four-way tie for first place this week was Leavitt’s Secret Lives of Mormon Wives co-star Jen Affleck and her partner Jan Ravnik. Their quickstep routine to “Take On Me” started with Affleck wiping off and dancing on a countertop, a cheeky reference to her TikTok videos where she often dances on her kitchen island at home.
The Best Moments From the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Season 34 Premiere
The final pairing that were part of the four-way tie were Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa. Their energetic jive to “Maniac” impressed the judges, with Chiles even pulling off a massive leap over Sosa’s head at one point in the routine. This was a huge leap forward for them, since they were near the bottom of the leaderboard after week one.
Another notable moment of the night was when Danielle Fishel revealed that she tore her hamstring during rehearsals and then a deep tissue massage “broke every blood vessel” in the back of her leg. However, she told fans she would be “pushing through the pain” and still pulled off an impressive cha cha to “Rhythm of the Night” with her partner Pasha Pashkov.
Unfortunately having zero eliminations in week one of Dancing with the Stars meant that week two was a double elimination, with two duos packing their bags at the end of the night.
This week, those couples were Baron Davis and his professional partner Britt Stewart as well as Corey Feldman and his professional partner Jenna Johnson. Davis and Feldman both seemed to struggle a bit to keep up with their professional partners during their routines.
Upon their elimination, both celebrity contestants expressed that they were trying their best for their professional partners. Davis said he wanted to win for Stewart, and then added, “I haven’t been coached in a while, so to get off my butt was awesome.” Feldman expressed similar sentiments, saying, “I feel really terrible because [Johnson] deserved better. She deserves to be the champ every year in my book.”
